Last night were the Elmo Awards. These are the awards that they give out to the students that have been in the plays at the college. They had a banquet and then gave out some awards. Scott the award for Best Actor for his role in End Game. I think it's well deserved! I'm so proud of him!
The only bad thing about the awards was that when we were sitting there listening to the awards, we could hear this squeaky noise. It sounded like the mouse. No, it was that bats that live in the theater. We were on stage for the awards with the curtains closed and apparently they don't like to be closed up like that... glad I didn't see them. Seeing one during one of the nights of the play was enough for me!
By the way, my husband looks pretty hot in that suit!

My visit with my sister
My sister was in town this past weekend so we went up to see her. We haven't seen her since our wedding a year and a half ago. Jen has only met Scott twice so she really wanted him to come up. She loved him, and seriously, how could you not? It was so fun to laugh and talk and play with the fam!
Poor Cosmo had a long weekend, he was pooped. Usually he stays close to everyone when there is a party but we found him on my dad's pillow asleep.
While we were up there we had a Su Casa reunion with some of our past co-workers and some of our favorite customers, it was SO fun. We missed all of you that couldn't make it!
What a fun weekend! I'm so glad we were able to go up there.

Vegas Baby!
Scott and I are going to Las Vegas in 2 and 1/2 weeks and we are SO excited! We haven't been on a road trip together since we got married so this is gonna be fun! He will be in a seminar for the 3 days and I will be laying by the pool reading and soaking up the sun, and at night we will explore the city. I think it's so therapeutic to get out of your bubble and just see something different for a change. I'm excited to have a relaxing vacation.
And this weekend I get to see my sister! I haven't seen her since my wedding so it will be fun to catch up with her and just hang out. (And I get to see my dog :) )
And next week Scott and I will be attending the "Elmo Awards" which is like the Oscars of the CEU Theater. We get to dress up and have dinner and watch people get awards. So there are some exciting things to come in the next while, I'm so glad that summer is almost officially here.

Some other happenings of this past weekend...
I knew there were things that I forgot about from this past week in that last post...
Scott shaved! And he looks so weird to me still. It's been over 4 months but he looks great. So at Danika's baptism we made a bet as to how many people would comment on how much he and his brother Kevin looked alike. He said 25, I said 15. 3 or 4 adults said it and we're not sure how many times to count Kevin's little boy Jacob calling Scott dad, because it was many times. Even when Scott would point out Kevin being his dad, he would still look up at Scott and call him dad. I think I won that bet, it was less than 15.
My wonderful FIL fixed the doors in our apartment. Our bedroom door won't stay open unless something is propped in front of it, so he fixed the hinges. And our bathroom door would stick and not close tight so he shaved off the top and it closes beautifully! It took a whole total of 20 minutes. It was so great to have the in-laws around!
I also busted a pair of jeans. I knew that they were wearing out and they were getting holes around the back pockets, and when Scott and I went to the store on Saturday night, I squatted to look at something and I heard this big rip. So I had to endure a drive back to Price with a hole in the rear of my pants. It sucked.
Last but not least, we filled up with gas in Springville when coming home, and we had started the trip gauge when we left Price and we had gone up to SLC and Logan and back and we got 43 MPG! I don't even have a hybrid! It cost us $15 to drive all that way. I was so impressed, I love my Honda!

Visitation
So this last week has been incredible tiring and crazy. Scott finished the play, I had to go to Salt Lake on Wednesday for a funeral and came back on Thursday. Then we went back up on Friday so that we could go to Logan on Saturday for our niece's baptism. Then Saturday we drove home, and Scott's parents came with us to spend a couple days. And then Sunday we had to speak in church. There was other strenuous stuff going on those days that I won't share but needless to say, I'm totally and completely exhausted and am ready for a regular week. Since I came back to Price for one day, I brought a surprise....
When I pack up to leave my parents, Cosmo gets really sad, so I decided to bring him home for one night. I asked if he wanted to go, since he knows what that means, he freaked out and wouldn't let me even put my stuff in my car without being right there, he didn't want to be left. The drive was pretty long for him (not ever being outside of the Salt Lake Valley) and we drove part of the way in the dark which he hates. But once we got him here he was fine and just followed us around, sniffed and hung out. It was SO fun to have him around. I honestly don't know if it was harder to leave him at my parents this time after having had him here, but it still breaks my heart every time I have to say goodbye to him.
As you can see he got cozy on the bed.
And we had to prop him up to look out the window, because every time I would go outside he'd freak out.
And this is him after his day with us. He was SO tired and was way excited to see his grandpa and grandma. We can't wait til he is here all the time.

Project Jello Stapler
In the spirit of April Fool's Day, work got kinda crazy... The boss was in Salt Lake and we did everything we could think of to prank each other (within reason). This included putting a stapler in Jello. Just so that you know, this is a lot harder than it looks, especially to do it alone. I wrapped the stapler in cling wrap to prevent any damage.
So, the results were not good. The Jello was way to watery. If you are planning to do this, I would suggest using less water than the Jello calls for and maybe add some extra gelatin. But it was still fun.
As for finding things to do in my spare time, I should have been more specific about things. For those of you that don't know, I had carpal tunnel surgery when I was in high school and have continued to have problems ever since. So I had to give up any type of sewing, quilting or cross stitching which I loved to do. Within 10 minutes of doing any of those things, my hands start fall asleep and hurt and will hurt for days. I even have to sleep in the same position every night or else I am in excruciating pain all day. It's no fun. So I'm going to have to stick with journaling and reading for now as my past times.
And Scott is going to shave in 2 days! Woohoo!
